Setting goals lay a foundation for ongoing growth and excellence in my midwifery career.
I am an advocate for maternal health, and I strive to help reduce the maternal and perinatal mortality and morbidity rates in my community.
My vision is to create better birthing experiences by using evidence based practices and personalized care to families.

Midwives College of Utah’s programs are grounded on the power of the Midwives Model of Care (MMoC).
My goal is to become a certified professional midwife with the anticipated graduation date of January 2027. MCU’s program is designed to equip me with the comprehensive knowledge, hands-on experience, and ethical foundation necessary to excel in the field of midwifery.
Currently in Phase 2
As I continue to advance in my midwifery journey, I am committed to expanding my professional network and forging meaningful connections with birth workers in my area. My goal is to build a trusted and collaborative community of midwives and birth professionals, where we can support one another, share knowledge, and enhance our collective practice. By fostering these relationships, I aim to contribute to a strong, connected network that benefits both our professional development and the families we serve.
My ultimate goal is to become a midwife that families can count on to bring evidenced based, quality, and safe care to during their childbearing years.

Birth Detroit is Detroit’s first freestanding birthing center.
My goal as the care coordinator at Birth Detroit is to immerse myself in the expertise of some of the most skilled birth workers in the field. I am eager to learn from their vast experience, adopt their best practices, and build strong, collaborative relationships with them. This opportunity will not only deepen my knowledge and refine my skills but also allow me to contribute meaningfully to the care of families during one of the most important moments of their lives. By working alongside these professionals, I aim to grow both personally and professionally, enhancing my ability to support and empower clients through their birthing journeys.
Community Engagement
One of my core goals as a future midwife is to be an active and trusted presence in my community. I believe that midwifery is not just about clinical care—it’s about building relationships, sharing knowledge, and empowering families.
I am committed to:
Raising awareness about birth options, especially home birth and midwifery care, through workshops, community events, and open conversations.
Collaborating with local organizations to provide resources and education around reproductive health, prenatal and postpartum care, and wellness.
